Around Mt. Diablo and back

So, to reward myself for all the hard work I've endured over the past couple of weeks. I figured I would finally tackle the Ride around Mt. Diablo. It turned out to be a pretty good trip, Some great roads and the route progressively got faster the farther I went. loading the twisties at the front end turned out a to be a good choice. I was really feeling the aches after the 5th hour. Went down a couple of wrong turns and ended up in some cookie cutter developments. I can't figure why you need gates on a community in Livermore, there isn't a poor person for miles. below is a map of the ride, contact me if anyone one is interested in coming along next time.

My backyard

Here's my around the lake and back home, It's an hour fifteen flat, and usually empty. I think the best way to run it is to start at the Strawberry Canyon, through Tilden, counterclockwise around the reservoir along Bear Creek Road, then back along San Pablo Reservoir Road, to Wildcat Canyon road. It's pretty even. Third gear over the twisties, then you can open it up along Bear Creek road.
